Este taller sigue de la keynote de Pili Hu sobre el análisis de los archivos de votación del consejo legislativo de Hong Kong. Las técnicas principales usadas en el trabajo son el Análisis Componente Principal (PCA), que es una de las técnicas de fijación espectrales. En este taller introduciremos lo básico, algoritmos relacionados y daremos ejercicios prácticos usando Python. Los participantes serán capaces de analizar y visualizar varios juegos de datos públicos.

This workshop follows from Pili Hu’s keynote on Hong Kong legislative council voting records analysis. The core techniques used in the work is Principal Component Analysis (PCA), which is one of the spectral embedding techniques. In this workshop, we will introduce the basic, related algorithms and give hands-on exercise using Python. Participants will be able to analyse and visualise several public data sets.
